Costume Contest Terms & Conditions

Weekend Costume Contest Rules & Entry Agreement

By entering the Costume Contest (“Contest”), participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions established by the theater (“Host”).

Contest Dates

The Contest will run during all scheduled showings from Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24. Winners will be selected following the conclusion of the final Sunday showing.

Eligibility

  • Contest is open to all ages.

  • Participants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

  • Employees of the theater and their immediate family members may participate but are not eligible for grand prizes unless otherwise stated.

Entry Requirements

  • No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest; however, theater admission is required to attend movie showings and event activities.

  • Participants must complete an official entry form with accurate contact information.

  • One entry per person unless otherwise approved by the Host.

  • Group costumes may enter as a single group entry or as individual entries.

Costume Guidelines

All costumes must remain family-friendly and appropriate for a public venue.

The following are prohibited:

  • Real or replica weapons capable of causing harm

  • Functional firearms of any kind

  • Sharp objects or unsafe props

  • Excessive gore, nudity, or offensive material

  • Costumes that obstruct walkways, emergency exits, or create safety hazards

  • Costumes that interfere with other guests’ ability to enjoy the event

The Host reserves the right to deny participation to any costume deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.

Conduct

Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward guests, staff, and other contestants.

The following behavior may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the premises:

  • Harassment or inappropriate conduct

  • Disruptive behavior during showings

  • Damage to theater property

  • Failure to follow staff instructions

Judging & Winner Selection

Winners will be selected based on criteria including:

  • Creativity

  • Costume quality

  • Character portrayal

  • Audience engagement

  • Overall presentation

Judging decisions are final.

The Host reserves the right to create multiple award categories, including but not limited to:

  • Best Overall Costume

  • Best Group Costume

  • Most Creative Costume

  • Best Youth Costume

Prize Conditions

  • Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.

  • The Host reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.

  • Winners may be required to claim prizes within a specified timeframe.

Photography & Media Release

By participating in the Contest, entrants grant the Host permission to photograph and/or record video of participants during the event.

Participants agree that the Host may use photographs, video footage, names, and costume likenesses for promotional, advertising, social media, and marketing purposes without additional compensation.

Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional media should notify theater staff in writing prior to participation.

Liability Release

Participants assume all responsibility for personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from participation in the Contest.

The Host, its employees, affiliates, and event partners are not responsible for:

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged property

  • Injuries resulting from costumes or props

  • Technical or administrative issues affecting the Contest

Right to Modify or Cancel

The Host reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest at any time due to safety concerns, operational needs, or unforeseen circumstances.

Acceptance of Terms

Submission of an entry form constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
