***Beat the Heat This Summer!!!*** Starting Wednesday 6/24, we will be having more showings to combat summer boredom and keep cool - Wednesday, 3pm & 7pm - Thursday, 1pm
The Story:
About a month ago, a new, local studio approached us about showing a movie they recently released. They were looking for only a couple showings to minimize the impact on our theater. Unfortunately, that would leave most of our week (or maybe two) wide open due to studio booking policies. With no movies to show, we wouldn't be able to keep the doors open very long. We love supporting local things - our new soda fountain is from a company based in Detroit (they built it custom for us and it's awesome!), the popcorn is grown and sold out of Hemlock - hmm, a quandary.
That birthed a question: How can we support this local studio and still stay open?
The answer: Fill the gap - book some similar shows that we can have for one day at a time.
The Goal: bring our community closer together while enjoying some great shows and supporting a local studio. Get the community involved with bringing these shows in - give them a chance to give back, get their name out, and support the people around them.

The whole point of this is to bring our community closer together (and support our local studio) so we would love to have some help in this. Our expenses for this week are going to be much higher than usual due to the fees involved in bringing in each movie and extra advertising and on top of that, we would like to give as many people as possible a chance to come out and see these great movies in a theater. We would love to have sponsors for each of the shows or days (there are 2 - 3 shows planned each day depending on the day) and if you would like to buy some popcorn and a pop for your family, friends, and community, I'm sure they would appreciate it - we'll even throw in a discount! These sponsorships can get your name on our festival poster, a show or day sponsorship can get you a table in the theater to talk to people or display what you offer, we are working on an ad for the big screen thanking all of our sponsors, and all of it will bring the community closer!
