9 to 5 Dolly Parton Look-Alike Contest
Official Terms & Conditions
By entering the Dolly Parton Look-Alike Contest (“Contest”), participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions established by The Beaverton Gem Theatre (“Host”).
1. Contest Dates
The Contest will run during scheduled showings of 9 to 5 at The Beaverton Gem from Friday, October 9, 2026, through Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
Entries may be submitted during any eligible screening within this period. Winners will be selected following the conclusion of the final eligible screening.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to participants of all ages.
Participants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter.
Employees of the Host and their immediate family members may participate but are not eligible to win prizes unless otherwise approved by the Host.
Participants must comply with all Contest requirements to be eligible to win.
3. Entry Requirements
No separate purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. However, theater admission is required to attend a movie screening. Participants may enter during any eligible screening of 9 to 5.
Participants must complete an official entry form with accurate contact information.
One entry per person is permitted unless otherwise approved by the Host.
Group entries are not accepted for this individual look-alike contest; each participant must enter individually.
Participants must have their contest photo taken at the theater by an authorized team member.
Incomplete, inaccurate, or duplicate entries may be disqualified at the Host's discretion.
4. Costume Guidelines
All costumes must remain family-friendly and appropriate for a public venue.
The following are prohibited:
Real or replica weapons capable of causing harm.
Functional firearms of any kind.
Sharp objects or unsafe props.
Excessive gore, nudity, or offensive material.
Costumes or accessories that obstruct walkways, emergency exits, or create safety hazards.
Costumes or accessories that interfere with other guests' ability to enjoy the event.
The Host reserves the right to deny participation to any costume deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
5. Conduct
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward guests, staff, and other contestants.
The following behavior may result in disqualification and removal from the premises:
Harassment or inappropriate conduct.
Disruptive behavior during movie screenings.
Damage to theater property.
Failure to follow staff instructions.
6. Judging and Winner Selection
Winners will be selected by judges designated by the Host. Entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Overall resemblance to Dolly Parton's recognizable look and style.
Creativity and originality.
Costume quality and attention to detail.
Dolly-inspired character portrayal and personality.
Overall presentation.
Judging decisions are final. The Host reserves the right to determine the number of winners and award categories, or to withhold an award if no entry meets the Contest's expectations.
The winner will be selected following the conclusion of the final eligible screening.
7. Prize Conditions
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
The Host reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.
Winners may be required to claim their prizes within a specified timeframe.
If a selected winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within the specified timeframe, the Host may select an alternate winner.
8. Photography and Media Release
Contest photos will be taken at The Beaverton Gem.
By entering, participants grant the Host permission to use their contest photographs, names, and likenesses for Contest-related promotional, advertising, website, and social media purposes without additional compensation, to the extent permitted by law.
Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional media must notify theater staff in writing before participating.
For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide the required permission for participation and promotional use of photographs. The Host may decline to publish a minor's photograph if the required permission has not been obtained.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, participants assume responsibility for their own conduct and for any damage or injury caused by their costumes, props, or actions.
The Host and its employees are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, or for technical or administrative issues that may affect Contest operations.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
10. Right to Modify or Cancel
The Host reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest, or amend these Terms & Conditions, when necessary due to safety concerns, operational needs, suspected misconduct, or unforeseen circumstances.
11. Acceptance of Terms
Submission of an official Contest entry form constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. For participants under 18, the required parent or legal guardian permission must be obtained before participation.
12. General Conditions
This Contest is organized by The Beaverton Gem. It is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or affiliated with Dolly Parton or the producers or distributors of 9 to 5.
All Contest questions should be directed to The Beaverton Gem.
